The Willamette View Health Resource Office, located in the Plaza Building, offers residents non-emergency medical services in a convenient on-site location.
The Health Resource Office is open Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
The front-line provider in the Health Resource Office is a licensed nurse, who is available to offer advice, coordinate and schedule services, and provide first aid for minor injuries. In addition, local physicians who use the HRO as a satellite clinic see Willamette View residents (who have selected them as their Primary Care Provider) by scheduled appointment.
Scheduled services available to Willamette View residents include:
Fees vary according to each service – and some services are even free of charge. Fees may be added to a resident's monthly statement.
Schedules vary. The Health Resource Office maintains a current list of physicians who use the HRO as a satelite office and the days they are on-site.
The HRO is not a drop-in clinic. Physicians who use the Willamette View Health Resource Office as a satellite clinic will see only residents who have first selected them as their Primary Care Provider (PCP). Physicians see their patients by appointment only. Residents who need immediate medical attention should seek treatment from their PCP, or visit an urgent care center or hospital emergency room.
Yes. Willamette View contracts with Providence Health System Laboratory Services for on-site lab work. The Health Resource Office nurse must receive a physician’s order for all lab work done on campus; the physician may communicate directly with the HRO nurse. Some providers may exclude this arrangement — for example, Kaiser requires all lab work to be done at a facility within its system.
Yes to both. Willamette View offers two levels of foot care by appointment:
A licensed podiatrist is available monthly to see residents who require a medically trained professional to treat complicated issues resulting from certain disease-related illnesses. The podiatrist may bill Medicare and select insurances.
A Registered Nurse is available more often to provide palliative or uncomplicated foot care, such as foot soaks, nail trimming, and minor callus removal. This level and type of foot care is not covered by insurance.
